In 2018, the Tamil Nadu Government awarded Velammal Medical College Hospital for the largest number of cadaveric transplants, in the private hospital category. The best liver transplant surgeons in the country, excellent facilities and transplant care and the most affordable services, makes this the most successful transplant programme in Tamil Nadu.

Kidney Transplant

The first ever transplant at Velammal Medical College Hospital was carried out in January 2017 with a live-related kidney transplant. The programme is overseen by internationally trained Nephrologists and the outcomes are all on par with international standards. Today, patients visit from all over the country and abroad for cadaveric and live-related transplants.
